This is freaky…

Anthony and I received our visa for Brazil and we leave in just over a week for South America! I am very excited for our trip. The sad thing is that we won’t be able to post pictures until we return. Internet on the ship is $60 for two hours!!!!!!! Needless to say, that is crap and we won’t pay it. You can also get it per minute, which is nearly $1.

Cheating on your wife with your brother’s wife is generally in bad taste. But when the result looks like him, I am willing to practice forgiveness.
Due to a shooting at Sugar on Capitol Hill, it looks like the bar will be closing. When the club first opened, it was mostly a gay customers. For some reason, the bar changed it’s format (and clientèle) and then started it’s quick descent. There has been quite a bit of violence at the bar within the past year.
The thing that confuses me about this whole mess is, why would the owner take a mostly-gay bar in the second gayest neighborhood in the US and make it straight? The crowd this club attracts has been, sadly, not very gay-friendly. Is the owner simply an idiot? There has been a rise in gay bashings on CH within the last year. Not surprisingly, there has been an increase in yuppy straight clubs as well. I know correlation does not equal causation… but come on people!

Sugar when gay…

Sugar without the gays… noticeably more bland.

The sad thing is, I am kind of excited.
What happened to Scary Spice? She looks more like Eddie Murphy’s Baby’s Momma Spice… which is kind of scary, I guess.
A Canadian hockey player had pictures surface of him being kissed by a man. His response, when asked if he is gay was: “I don’t know nothing about the homosexual.”
The homosexual? Are we some sort of conglomerate? Singular? Maybe he meant he didn’t know anything about the trick he picked up.
First off, my apologies for the title.
So, Seattle and greater King County voted down a transit package that would have greatly expanded the light rail, currently under construction. First they killed the monorail (after approving it FOUR times) and now rail. We are stuck with a horrid bus system and a commuter train that is useless. Seattle has so many wonderful things going for it. Why is such a progressive city so ignorant about transit?
I understand that this transit package was flawed with the addition of the roads package. However, we desperately need a transit system that works and this city is notorious for taking its time on important issues. The current light rail project, once complete, will have taken more than a decade for only 17 miles of light rail. Basically, we have a rail system that takes you to two different malls. Thanks Seattle!
I had to endure a three hour meeting today that was painfully dry. To make the experience even more unbearable, I was forced to look at a bedazzled, 80’s acid-washed jean jacket. It doesn’t stop there. The woman wearing it was doing needlepoint during the entire meeting!
It was almost as hellish as my root canal, which included a TV in the ceiling. The program on during my procedure was the O’Reilly Factor on Fox.
It is not illegal to kill a pet in the state of Washington if it is done humanely. This is ridiculous. I can understand if an animal is suffering and your vet euthanizes them, but an owner can, presumably, take their pets into the woods and shoot them? This is outrageous! Who determines if the manor of death is humane? So, if a pet owner is tired of their pet and they decide to “humanely” kill them, this is okay? Shouldn’t there be a VERY good reason to allow for this? We have a responsibility to treat our pets with love and respect, not dispensable! This really is disturbing.
